1) Any interpretation that does not somehow relate what is being displayed or being described to something within the personality or experience of the visitor will be sterile.When interpretation that does not relate to what is being displayed or relates to the personality of the audience becomes boring and hard to understand. Figure out what your audience already knows and start from there you can get more information in if you don’t blab on about something they already know. 2)Information, as such, is not interpretation. Interpretation is revelation based upon information. But they are entirely different things. However, all interpretation includes information. Straight information is not interpreting, they are related but not the same. Take a giant chunk of information and put your own cool little spin on it. You can often use Analogies and Metaphors to get information out for example, The wetland is a sponge it absorbs water, or Wetlands are nature’s coffee filters they filter bad things out of the water.
3) Interpretation is an art which combines many arts whether the materials presented are scientific, historical or architectural. Any art is in some degree teachable.Interpretation can be used in many different ways like historical, architectural, or scientific. Use things to get people’s atention like acting out a skit, tell a cool story or 2, tell jokes, people learn better with their eyes than their ears use this to your advantage
4) The chief aim of interpretation is not instruction,When teaching you don't want to shove you want to lead in the right direction. Use your information. You need to spark the idea that something need attention rather that set them ablaze
5) You should use all of your slides in a presentation, not just one, often go back and mention things from other slides
